We are excited to welcome back author Tricia Springstubb on May 24 at 1 p.m. to the Upper Arlington Public Library (Tremont) in celebration of her new late middle grade (ages 12+) novel, How to Tell a True Story. BONUS! Tricia will be in conversation with authors Elisa Stone Leahy and Natalie D. Richards. You do not want to miss this. It's going to be absolutely amazing!
How to Tell a True Story
After seventh grader Amber’s secretive older brother rescues her from a devastating house fire, the community’s response proves that kindness is as complicated as family in this novel for younger YA readers.
Tricia Springstubb has written many well-reviewed books for young readers, including Looking for True, The Most Perfect Thing in the Universe, and What Happened on Fox Street, which was an Indie Pick. She also wrote Every Single Second which received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly and Kirkus Reviews. She lives in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
Elisa Stone Leahy is a queer, Peruvian American children’s author who lives with her husband and kids in Columbus, Ohio. She likes writing about characters with complicated identities. She is the author of Mallory in Full Color and Tethered to Other Stars, which Kirkus Reviews called “beautifully executed.” You can find Elisa online at elisastoneleahy.com.
Natalie D. Richards is the New York Times bestselling author of 49 Miles Alone, Four Found Dead, Seven Dirty Secrets, Five Total Strangers, Six Months Later, and One Was Lost, among other young adult thrillers. 15 Secrets to Survival was her middle-grade debut, and her latest middle-grade adventure story is Survive This Safari. Natalie lives in Ohio with her three children and a ridiculously furry dog named Wookiee.
